Dear APPNA Family:
AssalaamAlaikum. Thank you so very much for providing me with the opportunity to serve as President for APPNA Alliance for the 2015 term.
Despite the fact that APPNA Alliance is an APPNA family organization, many APPNA members know very little about it. I hope to use this platform to bring about more awareness to APPNA members and their families this year.
APPNA Alliance’s main goals encompass educational and charitable endeavors. We try to preserve, protect, and enhance Pakistani culture and heritage. I intend to build upon the momentum of past presidents, whose work has been integral to the success of every raised dollar and every enlightened mind. With your full support, I seek to “light the path” by fulfilling your hopes for underprivileged people everywhere.
This year, I would like to draw your attention to women empowerment in Pakistan. We hope to make a difference by providing some relief, in the form of wells, to the women, in a few villages of Thar. We are targeting a total of 20 wells in 20 villages by the end of the year. APPNA Alliance has the privilege and means to aid organizations that are actively assisting the women of Thar by providing them with access to clean drinking water, closer to their homes.
We will explore these possibilities in our 2015 Summer Alliance Meeting to help the women of Thar and our theme will be “Equip, Enable, Empower the Women of Thar.”
Additionally, I look forward to increasing the number of APPNA Alliance state chapters. Since this platform is exclusively for the families of APPNA members, male or female spouses of APPNA members can become members of APPNA Alliance and also part of the Executive team. We would like to encourage male spouses to be a part of APPNA Alliance. My Executive team is very passionate about opening more chapters; we can provide interested parties with any guidance they may require.
President, APPNA Alliance 2015
